چکیده

Highlights: This research compared the hondroregenerative potential between bovine cartilage scaffold with platelet-rich fibrin (BCPRF) and autologous cartilage. The formation of newly-regenerated chondrocyte, thickness type II collagen, rate resorption following subcutaneous implantation were assessed. BCPRF is highly biocompatible can be developed as an alternative to alloplastic porous polyethylene (Medpor) implant material. Abstract: invention implants regenerative comparable continues encouraged due high morbidity donor site related harvesting process. attempted using tissue engineering techniques in form endogenous regeneration by combining decellularized that was implanted subcutaneously. study aimed compare chondroregenerative terms collagen produced, implantation. conducted a pretest-posttest control group design New Zealand white rabbits. Forty-eight experimental samples divided into two groups, then treated respectively. results evaluated after six weeks Thirty-nine evaluated. There significant difference found from both groups (p=0.000), (p=0.000). microscopic images demonstrated superior receiving BCPRF. for differed significantly deposition matrix, well rate.

Effects of Platelet-Rich Plasma & Platelet-Rich Fibrin with and without Stromal Cell-Derived Factor-1 on Repairing Full-Thickness Cartilage Defects in Knees of Rabbits

Background: The purpose of this study was to create biomaterial scaffolds like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) containing stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF1) as a chemokine to induce hyaline cartilage regeneration of rabbit knee in a full thickness defect. Methods: We created a full thickness defect in the trochlear groove of thirty-six bilateral knees of eighteen matu...

Classification of platelet concentrates: from pure platelet-rich plasma (P-PRP) to leucocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF).

The topical use of platelet concentrates is recent and its efficiency remains controversial. Several techniques for platelet concentrates are available; however, their applications have been confusing because each method leads to a different product with different biology and potential uses. Here, we present classification of the different platelet concentrates into four categories, depending o...

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF): a second-generation platelet concentrate. Part IV: clinical effects on tissue healing.

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) belongs to a new generation of platelet concentrates, with simplified processing and without biochemical blood handling. In this fourth article, investigation is made into the previously evaluated biology of PRF with the first established clinical results, to determine the potential fields of application for this biomaterial. The reasoning is structured around 4 funda...

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF): a second-generation platelet concentrate. Part I: technological concepts and evolution.

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) belongs to a new generation of platelet concentrates geared to simplified preparation without biochemical blood handling. In this initial article, we describe the conceptual and technical evolution from fibrin glues to platelet concentrates. This retrospective analysis is necessary for the understanding of fibrin technologies and the evaluation of the biochemical prop...
